For Our Buyers (Customers)
No pre-sales
1st Choice Estate Sales does not hold pre-sales nor will we hold items for customers. We feel this is completely unfair. People sometimes wait for hours the morning of the sale to find out what they were interested in has already been sold. We also do not have time during set up to answer questions as we are very busy putting the final touches on the sale. We also want everyone on the same playing field as we think that is the fairest thing to do. If you need a measurement we will try to accomedate those inquires as quickly as we can.
*Disclaimer-on occasion prior to the sale opening family changes their mind on an item and wishes to keep it and we have no control over those situations.
First-come, first served
The first to come is the first in the door! We try not to limit the number of people entering the house whenever possible. However, with smaller homes and very large crowds we do reserve the right to execute crowd control messures.
We normally hold two day sales with the occasional 3 and 4 day sale when necessary. We feel we price fair and reasonable. On the first day all prices are firm with NO exceptions. Day two we are willing to negotiate after 11 am ( some items we can't due to clients wishes). We do NOT do blank discounts but as the day goes on the deals on most items does get better on absolute sales.
For those of you who want to take a chance that the item you are interested in will not be sold at full price, you may leave a bid with the cashier. When doing so please be sure you really want the item and are willing to return to the sale on the last day. But beware, we have had many disappointed customers who took a chance and the item was sold.
All sales are final and all items are sold as-is. It is up to the buyer to check out the items before purchasing them.
There are NO exceptions. Please be sure when you pay for your purchases you really want them. We will not refund you your money! Sorry we only have a short period of time to sell a house full.
Price tags
Large items will have printed tent card on the - these may be removed and then you MUST find a floor attendant and pay for this item immediately. Floor attendant will make it paid and sold for you. All other items must be paid for through the check out line and tag must be on the item or we will NOT sell it. So if you are interested in a large piece remove the tag and pay for it right then and then you can continue shopping. As most people know who attend any kind of sale “if it is in your hand it is yours”! And with all fairness to us please be sure, before grabbing the sign, that you really want the item. We have a hold area to place items you wish to purchase so that you can free up your hands for more shopping - however, it is an honor system and on occasion other may purchase those items (shop off hold racks). If you place items on the hold racks and change your mind please return them to the sale floor. By placing items on the hold racks you agree to the price marked and condition and have full intentions of purchasing them.
No Purses, Totes or Boxes
Wallet size purses only permitted into the sale. Nothing else - we provide areas for you to place items you wish to purchase. This is NOT just for theft but stops items from being place in a bag and getting broken or the bag/tote/box from hitting an item and breaking things with such tight areas and large crowds.
No Children under 13
Sorry, this is a rule that is just necessary for a few but all must follow
Respect
Our customers are wonderful and we love you all! But please respect the house. We have invited you into someone’s home and have taken great care to display things as nicely as we can. Safety is always our first priority. We want this to be a fun and safe experience for you all. Please help us keep it this way!
Payment
Cash, Cash, Cash - If other forms are being accepted for a certain sale we will note that on the sale notice.
